Silas W. Pitts Scholarship

To provide scholarship support for full-time undergraduate minority students who demonstrate high standards of scholastic interest, preferably demonstrating financial need. Evaluation will included demonstrated evidence of contribution to minority culture (minority defined as black, Hispanic, Asian, Alaskan native, or American Indian background). Contributions may include an original short story, fiction or non-fiction, an original poem, a critique of literature, factual research, or demonstrated talent or leadership ability. Awards provide partial payment of tuition for one year only and are made by the Selection Committee for the Silas W. Pitts Scholarship in conjunction with Financial Aid.
